I agree the Dorman manifold I purchased is probably not up to GM quality but the immediate concern is to remove the broken stud from the head. Derf is right the best and only real way to deal with the stud issue is to remove the head then take it to a machine shop. This will be a lot of work and replacement parts...hope my boy appreciates it!. I'll report back when done. Thanks

I have replaced several broken studs on several L61 engines. Most have still been on the car. They are usually not very tight in the head. If you can drill down into the stud an easy out pulls them right out.

Thanks .
I frequent junk yards almost every weekend. I can get you a GM exhaust manifold if you want. I ship anywhere in the US. Canada if the price isn't crazy.

I'm going to try and drill out the stud which would be the easiest solution then put on the Chinese manifold I already purchased....thanks Mr. Dead for your manifold offer. I noticed the Aura has a bit of a different manifold design and might be harder to locate in the salvage yards anyway. I'll post how this turns out. Thanks my friends.

Have 1 aura at my local yard with a 2.4 in it. It will bolt up to the 2.2. I can look further if interested soon.

Mr Dead has a special ring to it.

I'm not a fan of excessive mammarian landscape, But to each their own.
