2008 Aura 2.4 Camshaft Position Sensor Location
Hello All,
I have a 2008 Aura XE with the 2.4 engine. Recently through a check engine light and car wasn't able to go over 45mph and could barley drive up inclines. Took it to the mechanic and ran codes which came up with P0016 code (Crankshaft position - Intake. Camshaft Position not plausible) . The mechanic said it could be as simple as the camshaft sensors but wouldn't do the repairs because my subframe was "to rusty and a safety hazard". I've tried to find a diagram online but the most I can come up with is that there are two of them somewhere on the engine. Can anyone help with a diagram, link or picture of where I can find these.
Thanks

Could be as simple as the camshaft position sensor on the intake cam.

What Is Error Code P0016? This error code is signaled when your powertrain control module detects that your crankshaft and camshaft are out of time. The car probably went into limp mode hence speed limited and no acceleration which would probably change the timing advance.
So where is it?
.
Says it's for an ecotec 2.4, intake cam sensor. See if your engine looks like that.

How many miles on the car and have the oil changes been done on time? The car has variable cam timing and the same chain setup as the L61 engines. Maintenance is critical to long engine life, the problem could be many different things.
