I think we are getting off on the wrong foot. I usually help people out with their vehicle problems.
I belong to a few forums and enjoy helping out. I am a retired shop owner and have several decades of experience repairing passenger cars and trucks.
I specialize in electrical problems and scan tool diagnostics.
I do not need this place. I came here to throw out a line and see what hits.
I get a suggestion to get diagrams at a junkyard. Then I'm asked what is wrong which is clear to anyone who read my request.
I will not ask for help in here again. I will hang around for a bit and see if I can help.
I may not last long.
We'll see.

I am not sure what is going on with this thread but I do not have any information on the later Saturns. I have L series cars which are GM Europe vehicles and I help with all the L posts. We do not get many Aura inquiries on the forum since they are really just a generic GM USA car so information is available on the Chevy and Buick forums. Sorry if you have not received good info here.

>>>I need the windows, doors and keyless entry.<<

>>So what exactly is wrong...<<<<<

In my very first post I indicated that not many Aura people come through. Tried to point you elsewhere.

Then, after all the pointless banter, I ask you for specific details of the issues you are having with the vehicle
-----
Couldn't know you had already procured the schematics as you never shared this fact.

Couldn't know your level of experience with automobiles as you hadn't shared it.

Details provided: sarcastically zero.
-----
If all you wanted was the schematics, I'm sorry we couldn't assist you with that. I get the impression that you are confident that you can solve the issues now that you have the wiring diagrams. If you do not seek diagnostic or troubleshooting assistance, just say so. Mocking people that are sincerely offering to help you (me) doesn't score any points.

I have been moderating this forum for something like 17 years running. If you don't want specific troubleshooting assistance, please just say so. The back and forth BS never leads anywhere good.

Happy to have you stick around and contribute. Just please be a bit more direct in answering focused questions with either appropriate answers or a deferral of additional help on that topic.

Thanks

Derf
S car Guy

You guys are to smart for me.
I ask for wiring diagrams for windows, doors and locks and you point to another forum that is run worse than this place and in not even online. Then someone suggests I get them at a junkyard. Then you ask me what my problem is.
The car is fixed.
You guys are to smart for me.
Good luck.

I thought this was a new site. The domain name was created in 2003 and you've been doing this place for 17 years and you only get one or two posts a day? I looked at the source code and you have no meta tags.
Who does this website? I assume it is you. Is this place more or less a hobby rather than a business?
You need help if this place is to be anything other than a local coffee shop.

Internet Brands runs the site. Says so right on the page. (?)

Please let us know when you're done conversing with your ego and waving your short throw shifter around.

Kind of fortunate you stopped by.

You seem to take things very personally. I don't know you except for what has been said on this post. Go back and look at it again and put yourself in my place.
What help did you give me? The very first thing you tell me is to look elsewhere for my solution. What are you here for? It's not like I ask for wiring diagrams for a Ford truck.
You defend the man that suggests a junkyard and start belittling me. Why?
Now you tell me I have an ego problem. Where did that come from and why?
I could help you and a lot of others around here with their vehicle repairs but not if I am to be ridiculed and belittled in the process.
Are there any actual full time techs who contribute here or have you run them all off like you are doing to me?

I see you have already addressed the questions of a few new members. Thank you.

There is no doubt in anybody's mind, including my own, that you know at least seven times as much as I do about automobiles in general and conceivably much more.

I think it is partly because you can't get past the first few posts. Let it go. Is it really worth it?

Early on I sincerely invited you to stay. Not that you need anyone's permission, that's not what I meant. What I meant is I value your lifetime experience and know that other users as well as myself will learn things from you.

I've stopped asking what the specifics of the issue were. Why did I ask? In the hopes that I could learn something about issues with the Aura, as I know essentially nothing about that vehicle. It's a simple question that it seems you were actively avoiding answering. I have no idea why. Even if it is fixed, I simply wanted to know what the issue was and what the solution was. Just like we on the forum like to know if our suggestions / troubleshooting was correct or not.

Not letting us know you had obtained what you were searching for is pretty rude. If you knew me better from the site, you'd know that I routinely spend hours of my time digging up diagrams, available discontinued parts for complete strangers. Didn't have time to do so for you, but had I started looking I would have been majorly pissed if I was still looking for something you had already found. Common courtesy.

Been here what, a week, and you are judging the site? Based on one interaction with three people? And the slow influx of new posts? That's the stuff that pisses me off. Ordinarily I wouldn't say anything, but judging a member for one post, then judging the entire site after a week, and then just not letting go of it---that is what's pissing me off.

"What help did I get here?" Same judgemental theme. And can't just let it go.

It's probably been 5 years since I tangled with a new user on this site. Generally I stay above it. But when someone keeps replaying the same theme with their posts, not to the benefit of the forum, then I step in. It's been 5 years since I last had to do it.

So please just let the early posts go already and continue helping people here.

Now you should have a good idea of where I'm coming from.

Ultimately, the choice to stay or go is yours.
