New guy, old Astra
Hi,
My wife inherited a 2008 Astra after her mother's passing, sat for a few years having to go through probate for the title. When we got it all squared away I ended up putting a new battery, starter and alternator on it, runs great. But now the A/C is not working, turn it on and blows hot air, I don't hear the compressor kicking in when I hit the switch. But it does turn so guessing it's not locked up, tried putting freon in it but the gauge went to the read where it says see instructions. Any help would be appreciated!!

Could you please take a picture of the gauges or better yet read us the values on the cages. Red gauge equals high side, blue gauge equals low side.
Without the vehicle running, the blue gauge should be about ambient temperature.
Could be a couple things but let's not jump the gun.
