Headlight Bulbs
Have any other Astra owners successfully swapped to LED bulbs? I realize some bulbs may require a CAN bus adapter or something similar if flickering occurs or the bulbs use less watts than Halogen ones. Sealight 9005 bulbs advertise to be plug and play for the Astra. Also wondering if any (or which ones) 3157 size LED bulbs would work without issue for the front turn signal lights.
On a similar topic, 6 months ago I used a headlight resto. kit since the lights were very cloudy. Only lasted ~3 months before looking cloudy again. Now my visibility at night is next to none without high beams on. Wondering now, would the added brightness of LEDs not make a difference if my lights aren't completely crystal clear?

Not sure if there is an active Astra member on the forum right now. There are forums over in the UK specifically for the Astra, the opal Astra that is. You will likely find more information on the mechanical and electrical aspects. Of course you are welcome to stay here. Trying to help you, not chase you.
In terms of raw amount of light, I suppose you will get more lumens out in front of the vehicle, but they will still be scattered in the same exact way they are now

I have seen several threads on other forums about this topic, but the OP either never received an answer, OR they converted LED bulbs using a whole kit, splicing wires and connectors and the like. I am NOT looking to go to that measure to switch my bulbs to LED.
