Saturn 3 Door Coupes SC1 and SC2

what is this connector for?

im replacing a CD player in a recently purchased Saturn SC1 (98) and I came across this connector that is not connected to anything. What is it for?

That looks exactly like the harness that ties into the set of buttons right above the radio, they should have at least a button for fog lamps, and rear defrost, possibly traction control. It's directly above the center vents, so it may have been disconnected by some ignorant mechanic a while ago.Edited by: nasonguy

I guess you never noticed that your rear defroster didnt work?

no, i just got the car so i havent used the rear defroster yet.

I was a little confused on the location, it's actually directly below the vents, but still above the radio. It's pretty simple to see how it hooks into the buttons, hook it up and enjoy the defrost and fog lamps.
