Transmission slipage
K so i recently baught a 2000 saturn sc1 3 dr coupe and its got a many tranny and it was working fine for atleast a month and now when i drive it 1st and 2nd work fine like i got lots of power and torque and what have you but as soon as i shift itno 3rd 4th or 5th i have power as long as i dont try to accelerate as soon as i push on the gas a little bit its as if it slips and i loose power. engine just reves up and nothing happens till i let go of the gas and the it lunges me forward. Now its not all the time that it does this. today it did it all day yesterday it did it after 10 minutes of normal operation. now i checked the fluids and there fine so i dont know if its the clutch or the transmission. Any body had this probleme? anybody know what this could be? please reply. ive searched everywhere on the net cant seem to find anything.

How many miles are on the car and is that the original clutch, pressure plate and throw out bearing? If it's all original and high mileage, it sounds to me like it's time to replace all three.
see I'm in canada and it's got 214000 kilometres and he said it was a replaced clutch and also I just checked my fluid and it's blue is that normal?
I've never seen blue clutch fluid. In my limited experiences with hydraulic clutches, they've all taken DOT 3 or DOT 4 brake fluid. And I've seen a lot of brake fluid in my 40 plus years of farting around with cars. All I've ever seen has been kind of an amber color. Dark brown or black if it's used or overdue for flushing. I'd suggest bleeding all of that blue stuff out and replacing it with brake fluid and see if it starts working. Someone here with a standard shift can probably shed more light on it. Do you guys have blue brake fluid in Canada?

sorry I should have been more specific my tranny fluid is blue
Well, that makes more sense now. Probably a stupid question, but are the clutch master cylinder and slave cylinder full of fluid? If so, maybe the slave needs bleeding.
Stupid question how do I check that
Pop the hood and IF you know where your brake master cylinder is, then there should be another fluid filled cylinder close to it. One should say brake on it, so common sense tells you what the other one is. I'm not familiar with the clutch set up on a Saturn, so don't know or will even suggest how to bleed the slave cylinder. I don't know if it has a bleeder plug or not and what method should be used.
