< src="http://www.google-analytics.com/urchin.js" =text/> </>It seems the 5th gear(overdrive) in my 97 SC2 manual, is set way to low. At 65 mph its around 2700, 2800 rpm. Seems and sounds way to low. I'm certainly no mechcanic, but I think the car would run fine in overdrive at around 2000. With today's gas prices taking the engine down 800 rpms at cruising speed seems very inticing. Can I purchase a higher overdrive gear? Would this negatively affect the vehicle? < =text/> _uacct = "UA-939292-47"; urchinTracker(); </>

Some people have swapped in a fifth gear from a MP2 transmission from a SOHC equipped S-Series.
