i have a 1998 saturn sc2 that wont start& nbsp; i turn the key and nothing. i can hear the fuel pump clicks on.i''ve tryed 3 new starters, new batter,cheacked all fuses.i''vetryed tripping the starter and still wont start.if i pop the cluch it will start, but that might bring about someother problems..also the dashlight quit working when i changed out cd players.


any answers would be great.thank you

Did you check if the purple wire on the started gets power when you turn the key?

how would i check the purple with out a voltige tester?


and right be for this all happendthe dash lights went out and now my fact kieless dont work eather,


ive read every thing inthis forum has no one found y our cars do this???

Get one. They''re cheap. And if you''re going to continue to work on your car, especially on electrical related items, you''ll need one.

Have you checked all the fuses? Interior and exterior fuse boxes?

but i went for the cheapest way out i put in a push butten start


now if i can figger out how to get my dash lights worken again

check the clutch switch on floor i had the same problem.

Hmmmm ... looking back over the various comments, I''m wondering if there was either an improper hookup or a loose hookup performed when the CD player was changed out. Comments suggest at least part of the problems could stem from there ...
