Has anyone tried using straight 30 wait oil in there cars to reduce the oil burn in the engine?

I heard this from more than one engine guy and I'm trying to find out if it has tested before.Edited by: speedjunky

Straight weight oil is just a band aid, either seafoam or aMM soak in the cylinders overnight may loosen the carbon encrusted rings unless the valve stem seals are leaking. A compression test will point inwhich direction to go to.
