Major transmission problems.

I Really need help. I have had my 97 SC2 For several years. I have about 254,000 miles. Original engine and transmission.
I began having problems when a loose transmission line
.

To make a long story short, I need a rebuilt transmission.
Any help in finding the right one is greatly appreciated.

You stopped in the middle of your description. Please tell us the story of what happened. You may not need the transmission that you think you do.

Ok sorry .
97 Saturn SC2 MP7 Transmission.
I first had a loose transmission line earlier this spring.
I was driving it by adding fluid to it and making sure there it was enough.
I I got the transmission line fixed, but they did a splice on the line to make it fit , so there are hose with band clamps around the opening. I think that is a high compression hose. It obviously didn't have enough fluid in the transmission unit to keep it safely operational. I noticed it runs very poorly in the forward gears.
reverse and neutral and park all work fine.
I was going to drive it up to the transmission repair shop to get an estimate the other day, and it would hardly move. It was cold so that may have been part of it.
I have put the Lucas transmission treatment in it, to no avail.

I really need assistance in this.
I love my Saturn and it is in great condition. I can't part with her just yet.

Where are you located? I have a small shop in east Texas. Almost sounds like you need a transmission. But I'd rather diag to confirm.

Is that what the general consensus is?It needs a tranny?

No, that's not what it means. What it means is that you need to get a second opinion at a REPUTABLE shop.

Where step one is not to go to aamco unless you like handing out money for nothing in general and nothing specifically. Truly nothing
