I have a 2002 SC2. When I start or stop the car it has started to make a clunking noise in the back of the car. Since there isnt much in the back of the car, I can only imagine it might be a hanger for the muffler, but has anyone else had this problem?

I cant take it to get looked at for about 1-2 weeks and am just double checking myself so that nothing more serious happens.

Any ideas are greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I do have stuff in the trunk, but I''m pretty sure that''s not it. There''s a bit of a vibration with it and it seems to loud to correlate with anything that''s in my trunk.

check your tire rods , inbetween the back wheels look for something loose or broken.

I can''t remember do the sc''s have disc or drum rear brakes? Could be a

How far back, and you dont hear anything when going over bumps?

I would start by shaking around the exhaust and just trying to find the culprit
