Fuel Pump Replacement...can I do it myself?

Hello, Im new here But I have done quite of bit of digging on fuel pumps on the forum. I didn't want to stupidly ask a question thats been answered many times already. But I haven't really found the exact answer I was looking for. I own a 2001 Saturn Coupe with 192,000 miles. Pretty sure my fuel pump is about to kick the bucket. I have found the parts I need at an extremely reasonable price. My question, is replacing the fuel pump a very difficult operation? I have never replaced one before. I would be doing it with my brother. We are both pretty competent around a car. He works on his truck, mustang and boat all the time. Together we have replaced the water pump, coiled spring, rotors, and other regular maintaince stuff on the saturn. Money is pretty tight right now and was hoping I could take care of this with out having to pay outrageous labor fees. Any feedback or tips would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!

Go to your local AutoZone, PepBoys, O'reiley's, etc. and pick up a Chilton Manual for your Saturn (cost about $25usd). It has a detailed step-by-step layout (Section 4 and Section 5) of how to accomplish the task -- with pictures even!

Thank you for the quick reply. I do have that book. I have checked everything out and have all the tools that are needed. It looked fairly simple going through it step by step, but I just wanted to make sure I wasn't getting in over my head. lol When I replaced the water pump on it people told me it would cost $300-500 for parts and labor. I replaced it (the water pump) and the serpentine belt myself for under $200 in an hour or so. So Im glad I didnt listen to some of the advice I got. Thanks so much for the feedback I appreciate it.

I have a friend of mine that orders the parts direct with out the mark up. I have gotten most of my various parts that I have needed from him and they have been excellent. The pump Im probably getting is Delco OEM.
