i am trying to help my uncle with a oil problem with a 95 sc dohc saturn - he just put a head gasket and new valves and seals on the motor - cylinders 2 and 3 were getting oil before - now all 4 cylinders are getting oil fouled and burning a quart of oil every 40-50 miles and smoking really bad - any thoughts please help ( one thing i did notice ,i found o-rings near the timing cover that he said he didn''t replace - could this be the problem ) also engine has good power and compression now - thanks vince

Ummmm

Stop driving it. That much oil going out the tailpipe is that much oil NOT lubricating the engine internals!

Open it back up and find the source of the hemorrhage.

What are the compression readings?

The head gasket could be installed incorrectly as well as the valve guide seals. Were new head bolts used and torqued properly following the proper procedures?
