1999 saturn sc2 1.9L, air condition can not cool down. Then I found the coolant fan does not work. After the further checking, I found the fan, relay, fuse all are fine. and the refrigerant pressure is normal.

Does anybody know what''s the problem with the AC system? Are there anything else controlling the fan? refrigerant tempreture? or refrigerant pressure?

FangSir986 ...

You say in your posting that your refrigerant pressure is normal, but you are getting no cooling, and your cooling fan motor (under the hood, on the radiator) is not running.

Need more information ...

Hook up your gauges again, start the car. Set your A/C controls for maximum cooling, and turn the blower motor to high. Make sure that the clutch on the A/C compressor engages, and is turning.

Now, read the values on both the suction and discharge gauges and report them here ...

Thank you OceanArcher...

I did thoselike you said, but I''m wondering how to"Make sure that the clutch on the A/C compressor engages, and is turning"???

Then the suction gauge value is 27 psi. I cannt gauge the discharge value because its connector is diffrent with my gauge.

Additionally, when the AC system is running as maximum, I cannt feel the suction pipe cool down with my hand, that means the temperature of the suction pipe is as high as outside.

Is there any more suggestions?
