hey, i have a 2000 saturn sc2 with about 180,000 miles on it.
i bought it off a friend of mine, it had been sitting in his driveway for a long time.
it ran fine at first, i did the oil change and air filter, but after a while it started jerking on acceleration. then one day i had it up to 80 for a while on the freeway, and the problem started getting really bad. it loses power when i give it gas.
it idles fine, but when i gas it in park it will actually sputter out and die at around 3000 rpm.
no service engine light.
in idle, the fan revs up about every ten minutes, then calms down.
i scanned it with an OBII reader, got the P0410 code, cleaned out my air intake all the way to the exhaust manifold, replaced the diverter valve. no change.
i replaced the fuel filter, no change.
any ideas?
