We need a driver’s door window regulator for my son’s 1993 SW-1 with power windows. Thanks!

My local yard has a 92 coupe. Don't know if they're the same. But I'm going Sunday if you wanna check part numbers

That's a long shot. 91 and 92 or kind of the freak years. 93 to 96 most of it matches.

Hell I'll look it up right now.

Fun fun.

Apparently there are three different part numbers for the power window regulator that were used. States that the regulators each were used for every front door model of vehicle even the coupes from 91 to 95.

The problem is that the descriptions in the online catalogs are named identically. I'm assuming some are for the power and some are for the manual regulators but that only takes two part numbers, so what the hell is the third one?

GMpartsonline.Net Is the example I'm using. Maybe I'm just being thick.

Thanks Derf! The big gear is chewed-up pretty bad. If I can’t find one I might try to add material (weld) on the gears then reshape them with a dremmel and or file. That would be the last resort.

I’ll go to gmpartsonline and put in my VIN to find the part number. Thanks again for your help.

Hi Dropdead. Thanks for your kind offer. Later this morning I will look up the part number and get back to you. They are a pain to remove. If they have never been replaced you’ll have to drill out the rivets. I think it can be done by removing only the outer door skin.

Hello Derf and Dropdead...
I believe the correct GM part number is 21097243. This part number fits the following Saturns (I bolded our car)

1991-1992 Saturn SC, 4 Cyl 1.9L, SL 4 DOOR SEDAN, SL2 4 DOOR SEDAN
1993-1995 Saturn SC1, 4 Cyl 1.9L, SL 4 DOOR SEDAN, SL2 4 DOOR SEDAN, SW1 4 DOOR WAGON, SW2 4 DOOR WAGON
1993-1995 Saturn SC2, 4 Cyl 1.9L, SL 4 DOOR SEDAN, SL2 4 DOOR SEDAN, SW1 4 DOOR WAGON, SW2 4 DOOR WAGON
1991-1995 Saturn SL, 4 Cyl 1.9L, SL 4 DOOR SEDAN, SL2 4 DOOR SEDAN, SW1 4 DOOR WAGON, SW2 4 DOOR WAGON
1991-1995 Saturn SL1, 4 Cyl 1.9L, SL 4 DOOR SEDAN, SL2 4 DOOR SEDAN, SW1 4 DOOR WAGON, SW2 4 DOOR WAGON
1991-1995 Saturn SL2, 4 Cyl 1.9L, SL 4 DOOR SEDAN, SL2 4 DOOR SEDAN, SW1 4 DOOR WAGON, SW2 4 DOOR WAGON
1993-1995 Saturn SW1, 4 Cyl 1.9L, SL 4 DOOR SEDAN, SL2 4 DOOR SEDAN, SW1 4 DOOR WAGON, SW2 4 DOOR WAGON
1993-1995 Saturn SW2, 4 Cyl 1.9L, SL 4 DOOR SEDAN, SL2 4 DOOR

I have attached a couple of pictures below. I'm new to posting on this site, so please don't hesitate to advise how I could a better job the next time. Thank you both for your advice and assistance.

This is our worn out regulator

The big gear's teeth are like razor blades

Hello Dropdead,
It appears based on the research, that the coupe is not the same. I appreciate your offer, but I guess no luck. Let me know if you run across one of the listed vehicles.

Thanks!

On second thought, please forgive my ignorance...SC is a coupe!!!
So, with that in mind, is there a chance that you can check the one at the salvage yard this weekend? Of course I'll pay you for your time, the part and freight. Iwill mark-up one of the attached pictures so you can check the teeth before removing it from the car. I'll do that in my next posting. Thanks.

Hello Dropdead,
Please see the picture below. I don't expect you to find a regulator with perfect teeth, but I hope you'll find one closer to the green boxes and not like the red boxes.

I appreciate your time and consideration. Let me know if you will have time to take a look at the regulator. We continue to look here (in Tennessee) too. Thanks.

The red box teeth are weapons' grade.

I had another thought. In the event that the driver's door regulator is toast, maybe the passenger side would be better. Maybe I could carefully remove the passenger side gear and attached onto the driver's side. Again, that's more work for me, but desperate times call for desperate measures.
