Making assumptions involving Saturns is never a good idea. Are you saying you cannot locate a part number for a block heater for your ion? |
Not sure if they offered one standard, but it seems they did on the 2006 VUE with the 2.2. from when I can tell it attaches at the freeze plug.
I believe there were some changes made to the engines, the ecotecs, 2.2 and 2.4, in '06 and '07 so you do need to be careful with cross Chevy equivalents. No idea if the same changes or implemented at the same time or even at all. |

https://cimg8.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.sat...0e2164ce3e.jpg i did find this diagram for a 2006 pontiac G5 2.2 . i checked on my car, and it appears to have that boss with the single hole. the freeze plug one kind of sounds like a pain. https://nemigaparts.com/cat_spares/e...a/01/1a01-014/ |
bought this off ebay 12587535 for $35 and was able to install it after removing the heatshield to gain access to the single fastener. Then i picked up a cord from autozone for $30.
thanks for the sus pm's with emails of people who allegedly had them |
Thanks for coming back and closing the loop!
