I need a 2001 SL2 ECU asap!
I'm in desperate need of an ecu for my 2001 Saturn SL2. My ecu randomly died the other day while I was driving (still looking into how this happened) and now I am car-less until I can get an ecu. I'd really appreciate if somebody could help me out considering the dealership wants $1100 for a replacement one!
Thanks, Brian |
think you might be jumping to conclusions -- please see my advice in your other post

I have to go with Derf on this, but,if you still think you need one, I'll send you a good one for 75$ plus shipping. Howie

hoseppi -- were you not able to sell the car you posted on the site a few months back? Are you parting it out?
|
Derf, my whole family drives Saturns, and we love them. I have a few parts cars, and am still collecting them. I thought you had HiImBrian convinced that he needed a new CPS-they are cheap enough to buy new. I've been working on S series cars for a long time, and don't think I've ever seen a bad ECU,PCM or CPU. I have seen at least 3 bad CPSs,and several bad CTSs. I do, however have lots of spare parts, including engines.
|
I'm going to install a new CPS and I'll report back in my other thread :)
|
Hoseppi -- aren't you the one that was selling one, without a title, for a friend, and you thought I was dogging you?
I never knew you were a longtime saturn owner yourself... those spare engines may become quite valuable as the pool of saturn parts shrinks with time.... |
It probably was but usually the cars have some type of title even if it is only a salvage title. I am quite sensitive if I think I am being dogged. My sister in law has 5 Saturns in her immediate family, and I sold her all 5 of them. I practice what I preach, and I really do like working on the cars.
