how much oil did it burn?

 

I can tell you what I know. We had a cracked valve cover and were losing oil at a fairly good rate. I finally found a good valve cover about seven weeks ago, and now we seemed to have corrected the problem. We haven't added oil and it remains at a decent level. We put the engine in at the beginning of this past summer. It was pulled from a car that had 86,000 miles on it. That was about 4000 miles ago.

The engine is still in our car at this point. We're in Bourbonnais, IL, about an hour south of Chicago on I-57.
