Great deal on 95 SC2

Hello Saturn community, here is a great deal (I think) for someone in the Sacramento Ca area
I have a 1995 SC2 Original owner, non smoker car. My wife bought this car with 14 miles on it and we have had it ever since.
I used it as a daily driver until last month when it developed a miss. I diagnosed it as no compression in #4
The car is registered until May 2018, has a perfect interior, zero body damage, decent tires, good battery, good glass, everything works (even the AC) and 295K on it.
My wife wants to just donate it, and I don't have time to repair it so I want to offer it to someone who could repair it and have a really clean SC2 for next to nothing
Someone come and give me $250.00 and drive this away, this is not a scam. I just have too many projects that I want to work on and don't really need another one.
e-mail me at Mpt_tank@yahoo.com if you want it

Damn, too bad I live in FL and don't have enough money to fly out there and grab it. I'd take it in a heart beat for that kind of money.

What is the compression in the other three cylinders?

What weight oil have you been using and how much oil does it consume?

Have have the headliner door fabric been redone? The door fabric looks original. I'm just wondering if it has been reattached and if so, how

Very nicely kept ride I must say.

Has engine been previously rebuilt?

You probably just burned a valve

To answer the questions, the 3 other cylinders all had good compression (I'll have to look at my notes for exact #'s) The oil I had been using for the last 100K is 10w-40.
The headliner is original, and very thin and decomposing, the door inserts are original, in real good shape, and over time had to be reattached, I used 3M spray adhesive.
You are probably right about the burned valve. When it is running there is no obvious noises or clatter, just a steady miss, and no SES light either.
Like I posted, this is a good project for someone who can work on the car, and the parts are well worth what I am asking, the dashboard has had a cover on it since new, and floor mats too.
The transmission (5 speed) shifts well and the clutch is still good, sound system is the stock unit with CD player, but the original speakers were replaced with Pioneer 6.5 both front and rear.

If you haven't already, physically disconnect the harness for the #4 injector so the cylinder doesn't get washed.
These cars are efficient little oil burners, If you burned a valve, there's oil draining into the cyl and what doesn't burn there burns in the catcon --- not a trace of smoke. Gotta love it.

I tried 3M Headliner adhesive on the door inserts. It sort of worked for a few months, but too many 100 degree days in the sun actually melted the adhesive, combined w the fact that I think I used way too much and saturated everything and was just attaching glue to glue if you know what I mean.

Indeed 10W 40 has extended the life of your ride. I wish I could swoop in and buy it but I am in Pittsburgh

Indeed, sweet looking car! Would make for a great engine rebuild project, or maybe a swap... you’re way too far away or I’d do it...

sounds like a three-car drag race to CA--except then there's no one to drive it home
I have a friend in Cali who wouldn't be caught dead in a Saturn. maybe Ill have him buy it and I'll fly out and drive it back....

how much oil does it currently consume?

Nice lawn, by the way. Your perfectionism shows

To answer the oil consumption question, before the misfire it was using 1 quart about every 500-600 miles with clean oil. When the oil started to break down it was about 1 quart every 400 miles or so.
I got to the point of watching the oil change sale ads and took advantage of the sales to keep a few quarts in the trunk, and acquired a nice stock of filters for it, and my other cars as a bonus:-)

Yep, that's a full teardown and rebuild as I suspected if that is the original engine.
But didn't want to assume anything. With a good cat, that would actually pass emissions out here near Pittsburgh.

I’d still lean toward an Ecotec swap, maybe with turbo... LSJ with a S256@25psi would make that car devastatingly fast...
