2002 VUE manual for sale

I am the original owner since mile 16, I am pretty sure I have all the original paperwork and window sticker somewhere. I love my Saturn VUE manual transmission base model - purchased before the auto transmission was even available that year, but I am interested in selling. I live in Houston, car has never ever been flooded. Though during one of our deluges a couple of years ago (prior to Harvey, I think the tax day flood), I had a window cracked, so inches of water did get in and the interior is affected and needs a deep clean. Currently needs the clutch replaced. I think there exists a short in the wiring (quote a couple years ago as a $200 replacement cost), I think this bc every year I either purchase a new battery or a new alternator. Passenger front door is off market replacement which the actuator does not work, so manual (lean over) lock and unlock for that door -replaced due to a tree fell during a storm back in 2008-ish, I needed the window replaced so they installed a new door. No accidents. Has 6 disc in dash changer from factory, has moon roof (works great), AC works great. Recent tires. Please make an offer. In Houston area, due to clutch out- not drive-able currently but has worked for the last 17 years. has approx. 180,000 miles - I need to go verify but I'm close

Polishing up those headlight lenses will do wonders for the curb appeal....

It's the only thing detracting from the outside appearance.

Also, your honesty in disclosure is to be commended.

If it were me, I would consider getting the interior detailed. Probably $100 but will smell like new without the new car smell.

The complication is that somebody needs to dump a bunch of money into it to replace the clutch and fix the short. So this type of vehicle appeals most to a DIY type as supposed to Joe schmo. But I think even Joe schmo would appreciate a non musty interior.

Given the work it needs and the detailing inside, how much are you asking?

I thought maybe someone collects or tinkers in Saturn vehicles and would possibly like to expand their collection. I like the idea that someone else gives it some life/love rather than me selling it to a junk dealer. So as for offer, I do not have high expectations. I would polish the headlights- I have the stuff and have done so many times- but since I wasn't sure there existed any interest outside the junk dealer, I did not put in the effort. I am well aware of the value of my 17 year old car. After Harvey I let an acquaintance who had 2 small kids and a 3rd on the way drive it while they worked out their insurance as their cars were submerged. At that time a super good scrubbing of the interior took place, so the water intake has been addressed but I feel it could use another scrub/replace. My car interior looked new and still smelled new 6-7 years in, I did not use any sprays. They did offered to purchase but I just was not ready. I am ready now, lol. I am not a mechanic nor a tinker so really this old of a vehicle does not make sense for me to have. But if there were a Saturn enthusiast out there looking for the running (once replace clutch) single owner tinker toy, I've got one. make an offer, I'm open. Just remembered to add I have had the carburetor (exhaust part) replaced, maybe 3 years ago - guy did a decent job. The clutch will only be the second time replacing. brake had been done not that long ago, 3-5 yrs but I have driven it a lot less miles per year in those years (weekends) I love driving a SUV clutch with features! Just do not make those anymore... in my price range.

I agree, it should go to someone who can give it the Saturn love only another Saturn can.

Just trying to get you to put up even a xxx or best offer. And the State where it is located.

Most people won't bother with an ad that doesn't list any hint of the price. And the state where you are located obviously we'll play a factor as well.

Just trying to help you out

I'm gonna go out on a limb here and figure the car is in Houston, TX. LOL
