16,512 mile 2004 L300 Wagon - Almost new!

I have a lot more pics (details of the scuffs, interior, under hood, original window sticker, etc) that I can post or email. Just let me know...

FWIW: KBB, NADA, Edmunds, etc base their prices on recent sales. There aren't too many 2004's with only 16,512 miles...so those engines can't account for the low mileage. In fact, if you compare the same car with 16,512 miles to one with 60,000 miles and one with 100,000 miles, those sites say the value difference is $400 and $900 respectively. We all know that the difference in a car with only 16,512 and 100,000 miles is more than $900 in value...

Car Gurus use an extrapolation model that compares based on all the factors (including mileage) and puts the car value at approximately $9,000.

So...if you want a basically new car for a fraction of a new car price (the closest new wagon sold with a V6 is $29K+), keep reading. Great for a new graduate heading to college or a growing family

You read that right -- 16,512 miles!!!! Yep. . ..1501 miles per year!!!!
This was granny's car and spent most of its life in a garage. You'll be hard pressed to find one in overall cleaner original condition.

This is a well optioned car, and cost new (that wasn't very many miles ago) almost $24,000 ($23,560 to be exact).

The only things keeping it from "like new" are a couple scuffs on the front bumper, and some body damage at the tail light (tail light has been replaced although all the photos do not show it). The scuffs were from granny, the tail light happened in a parking lot. I've decided not to have the body repaired (personally, I'd rather see the damage then to question what had been covered up if I was buying).

I have the original window sticker, original paperwork and manuals. . .even a couple of the inspections and oil change receipts that show the mileage history.
Surprisingly quick, and gets better mileage than the window sticker suggests (about 36 on the highway). Handles like an almost brand new car should!

Clear open title.

I debated (and still am) about keeping it. After all, it's essentially a new car. But, it's just me and the wife and a wagon just doesn't fit us.

Asking $9,500 but willing to talk -- there really isn't much of a point of reference to price a car like this (KBB, NADA, etc just aren't set up for appraising 11 year old "almost-new" cars).

Will consider a trade on a really nice compact tractor with loader and backhoe, or classic muscle/vintage cars.

They appear to be...although there is no checking/dry rot. I was pretty surprised, but then again it was always garaged so didn't get the uv rays shining down

Sigh. How I love wagons. If I had the money, id grab it.
Really, I know I say that a lot guys. But I have a thing for wagons.
Especially this being a v6.

That V6 surprised me with how relatively quick it is. I'm not a wagon guy, but this car has a good look - reminds me of the bmw wagons in styling a bit.

So the Saturn has been sold. Not to anyone off this forum, but to a really nice older couple out of SC. I'm glad it went to someone that needed it and they are thrilled. It made the 5 hour trip home flawlessly - likely the longest trip it's ever made.
Thanks for letting me post here.
