Yep, I had an employee years ago when I had my own business. I asked her if she wanted me to withhold her taxes and she said ,no because she had a sister who was an accountant that did her taxes for her every year. So, I paid her $400 per week and then gave her a 1099 at the end of the year. He sister told her that I would have to pay all of her taxes, even though we had an agreement. And yep, it bit me in the *** and I had to pay her tax bill that year. The next year, she was looking for a new job. And I didn't offer her a good referral.

Had to go to toyota today to turn in my uniforms.
they're still asking me to come back. I hated the drive out there.

I'll find something closer to home. I am having a fun where im at, though. Just need to keep the big picture in mind

Never kick a gift horse in the mouth, Billy.

That doesn't mean you have to say yes to everything that lands in your lap, but they're offering me at some point expire. I would simply say move on quickly from where you are once you get your yayas out. Everybody needs a break. Like you said keep the big picture in mind. I can see you rolling down the hill into the pasture on this one and never coming back. It will also make any other job seem even worse than it is when you left Toyota.

This is such a downer statement but sometimes the happiest things in life end up making the rest of life just ****ing suck in certain ways because you can't stop looking back at what you had. Or what you think you had. Doesn't mean you should regret it. Doesn't mean you shouldn't look back fondly on it. Just means you should remember what it is in the present so that when you remember it in your past, it's not more than it was and doesn't screw up your mental outlook in the future because you keep comparing everything to it. Yes, I have fun in life. A lot of it sucks but that is the same for everyone else. But there are things that make me happy and there are things that make you happy. Your job does not have to be one of them but it certainly helps make life tolerable.

If you do choose to go back, stay for at least 6 months or your work history will look pretty goofy to others.

Definitely not going back.
fake people. Lack of work. Lack of cars. Lack of accountability.

Big picture in mind. I'll stick this out until I find something that isnt going to 1099/i9 whatever.
Techs are always in demand. Its just trying to find the right spot.
Having a performance shop on my resume now will help.

Took a night job at a bakery...didnt stick around half a shift.
Right off the bat I was lied to about my schedule.
Then as I'm filling out paperwork they had my hourly at almost half of what was agreed on. I asked them about that. Them they proceed to explain hourly wages are based on a tip pool so they will only guarantee so much.
why was that not explained in the interview?
why was I told a 4 day part time position would fill there needs perfectly and only get scheduled 1 day?
Why do they not have managers, but shift leaders who are at best 20 years old, and the "manager" and owner operate through watching the camera and making statements over an intercom?

I was done with high school over 10 years ago...
I'm not going back to using a smartphone so I can clock in...
childish...

Let's add some more fun to this.
Toyotas been calling me every week asking me to come back not offering me anything else.

Got a call yesterday from the the Chevy/Chrysler dealer. They found my resume on indeed and wanted yo talk to me.
So I entertained it.
Scored a position almost doubling my salary.
Plus I get the benefits of becoming a certified GM tech AND Chrysler tech.

💪💪🤙🤙

Oh. And it's a w2 job with FULL benefits

Ill be starting in the used vehicle department while I take my training courses.
So an overload of piles of turds to work on. It will be a nice change of pace.

But I plan on starting with the FCA side, since that will benefit me more personally (baby cherokee and grand boat-a-van)
Although, if the Jeep Compass gets a v6 option in the remodel next year, I may have to get one of them. I love that they look similar to a Grand Cherokee. But I do want something with a hemi. I dont know yet
