Default Where's Derf

Anyone heard from Derf lately? I haven't seen him on the board in a while and was just wondering if something had happened to him.

Default I'm Back

Hi folks

My move to the Pittsburgh area went fine wrt moving stuff, but we've been refurbishing an 8 year old house that still had the original air filters in the hvac systems, if that gives you any idea as to the maintenance performed on this house......I had to replace 13 light bulbs inside and out on move in day.

Many projects, much coordination of contractors, many late nights, my personal PC has not been connected in prob 3 weeks---and frankly not enough energy to participate here.

Things are a bit more settled. I'll try to catch up on the posts

Thanks for the concern

Don't worry -- I'm at least as much of an *** as I was before

Good to see you back, buddy! Seriously, I know what you mean about the HVAC. My mother in law married an old bastard that never cleaned house at all. My wife and I went to Ocala before they got married and cleaned his place up so he could sell it. When I asked him the last time he'd changed the HVAC filter, he didn't even know it had one! The old turd had been in the house nearly 15 years. That filter was so moldy and gunked up, I had to use vise grips to pull it out. After we cleaned the house and did yard maintenance for him, he sold the house two days after listing it. The shrubbery was so grown up around it, he didn't even know where the water meter or electric meter was. I busted my butt for 3 days cleaning, cutting down shrubs and trees and mowing and he didn't even say thank you! I still can't stand the old fart and that was 7 years ago.

Glad to see you "up and around". Moving anywhere can be a traumatic experience. Best wishes with the new (for you) digs ....
