Are they a high maintenance engine or just fun to test drive?

They're a hemi. Still get lifter tick. Still get water pump leaks. Haven't had one with an exhaust manifold leak before. But that's not as common on the cars as it is the trucks.
Now, brakes and tires are astronautically high if you go back with OEM
But will 100% throw you back in your seat without hesitation

My Dad owned a 55 New Yorker with a 331 hemi, a 58 New Yorker with a 392 hemi and a 56 De'Soto with a hemi of unknown (to me) size when I was a kid. All 3 of them would throw you back in the seat when he hammered them. I can't imagine riding in a HellCat powered Mopar nowadays. What a kick in the *** that would be!

Anything SRT will throw yuh back.
I've driven 392 grand cherokees and Durango's.
I've driven hellcat grand cherokees (trackhawk) and Durango's
Along with challengers, chargers, TRXs.
TRX is the least impressive but will still knock you back.

The new twin turbo hurricane i6 they're using? Only driven it powering a grand wagoneer which is a land yaht. Not impressed.

I don't think the hemi is really dead when Ford just released a raptor r pushing more power than the TRX. Mopar isn't going to let that slide.

Hard to tell nowadays, Billy. Stellantis really isn't Mopar to me.

As a kid I was working at a 76 gas station, we ran out of welding rod. The boss told me to go git some.pronto. I had pulled the dist out of my 1970 Mach I when I got to work cause I was gonna play with it on the Sun dist machine, so he said "take the Imperial" I think it was an Imperial as I'm not into Mopar cept fer the Hemi!! Anyhow I jumped in that thing and it had a crazy orange bar kinda speedo.......That tank took off like a banshee!! She put me back in the seat like nobodies business!! It blew me away, when I got back I told George and He just grinned at me and shook his head. George never grinned.

I'm on day 6 and I hate it. I've been trying to find another Mopar dealer hiring within a reasonable driving distance.
