No more vibration
It's not rocket science, the front tires needed balancing. Something I have been putting off.
I had to go down town last week and grabbed the Saturn. I don't drive it often now so it sort of sits there. And at cruse speed the steering wheel vibrated.
My bad, I balanced the tires when I bought and installed them on a harbor freight bubble balancer.
They worked good, if you had a good one. This one wasn't.
So I bit the bullet and---$38.00 later the tires are balanced.
Another indication of rampant inflation in this country.
Now?
I have to install the passenger side window lift motor and the re-paint job is still in the wings.
How can I be retired, not go to work for over 15 years and still have more unfinished projects than I did when I was working?

Procrastination, Unc! Pure and simple. LOL Yeah, tire balance and rotation here costs me around $30.00. That's why I just get my tires at Walmart now and get the lifetime balance and rotation. I use it about every 6 to 7,000 miles.
You don't?
Actually, when I had the new tires mounted, the buy discovered one of my wheels to be slightly bent... The inner flange has a square nick in it, and maybe 1-1.5mm deflection... The tire still balanced out, the tread wasn't walking, and there is no excess vibration, even at 175km/h... Ideally I would replace the wheel, but as of now, I'm calling it good enough...

I needed to get my tire balanced a few weeks ago...went to get it balanced and they took it off and the belt was showing...well no wonder it was all wobbly. Haha whoops...anyone wanna pay for some new tires on my car? Anyone? Yea didn't think so
ummm, that's kinda WAY DANGEROUS, esp w your offspring in the car. You should be able to find a used tire with the same profile P295/R27 50Z or whatever it is as a holdover. If your job is delivery, your ride is your income. No master cyl, no $$. 3 out 4 tires, no $$. Can't buy tires without the $$ you didn't make while not delivering.
Sounds like an alignment is also in order. Not cheap, but will make your tires wear more evenly as long ss you keep rotating them = last longer. Esp when you buy brand new tires.
