Glad you are ok.
Please see your PCP, get some x rays and a cervical MRI. The pain won't set in for a few months but the damage will be done. I whiplashed my head back on the sidewalk in January of 25 and I'm still paying for it. I did not seek medical assistance until Mar and did not get MRIs based on those findings until September and December. Physical therapy fixed my neck but my back is a freaking mess. Not necessarily all from that one fall but didn't really have any back pain at all until about 5 months after I fell. T1 through T4 show compression fracture signs and t8 is leaning on my spinal cord. Lord knows what is in my neck. I thought I would just let the pain go away. What an effing mistake. Please go get yourself checked out |
Man, I'm sorry to hear about the car but happy to hear that you're okay. Take derfs advice. I thought I was okay after getting hit head on 16 years ago when I had a Dodge Caliber. All of the airbags deployed properly and my son and I walked away, virtually unscathed. Or so we thought. He ended up having to have knee surgery where his knee hit the dashboard and I had bruised ribs for quite a while where the seat belt locked up and I had some burns from the airbag. Go get checked out. That MAY be part of what's wrong with my neck, but I attribute that to the brain surgery where they removed a piece of my skull at the back of my head.

Thanks for the advice Derf :-) I went to my primary that afternoon and I checked out okay. I was told to monitor myself for the next few weeks and go back if I felt any pain or discomfort.
