Swap?

Can i swap a 1999 sc1 engine into my 2002 sl1 no trans or anything just the engine itself my rod is knocking and i need my car

2000, 2001 and 2002 interchange. I do not know what the differences are between the 99s and the newer ones. It looks like the 99 is a one year fit. The differences may be quite minor and it may work as a long block swap. A wrecking yard with a Hollander interchange will have more info.
