Hey,

I have a 2000 Saturn SL2 and the service engine soon light is always on. Does any one know how to turn it off or fix it

you have to have it cleared with a OBDII machine, only available at dealerships ususally...if you just get it cleared, it wil usually come back on because something is wrong, or it wouldnt have come on in the first place!

Or you could try and clear it by disconnecting the negative side of your battery for about 30 sec then reconnect this will shut it off if it comes back on there issomething wrong with your car go to your local parts store a have them connect to it and tell you what codes it sendsmost of the time they will do it for free. Then go from there

my policy is "if it is running well, ignore it. Disconnecting the batter will clear codes, but if something is constantly 'sending' they will come right back on. (my problem is the opposite: no code --service engine soon light is off- but it is NOT running well.

Congratulations.

You now hold the record for the oldest necropost on this form. 18 effing years is when this thread started.

"If it says it's broken but don't bother fixing it"
Is your motto, I'm surprised anything you own actually runs.
