Hey guys, how's it going. I am generally a performance car guy and have always had some kind of sports car in the driveway. But as we all know with performance comes a tall price tag at the gas pump. So I have also always had a second car to commute to keep the gas bill down. Last week I purchased a 97 SL2 wich makes my third saturn. I have had 2 others, another 97, and a 2002 in the past. Ever since my first one I have been faithfull to these little cars. They are inexpensive to repair, super quiet, and amazing miles per gallon! I am planning on doing a few monor repairs on this one in the near future and will definately be hitting this forum for some info soon! So Hello From North Carolina! :D

Thanks! Well since this is my commuter for work and school I will probably stay away from performance modding unless it also helps out in the fuel consumption department as well. And I like how quiet it is so no loud exhaust or anything like that. The first two things I plan on doing to it is replacing the a/c compressor before summer and trying to figure a solution for my tight driver side manual window!

Welcome to the forum. I am on my second Saturn (I had a 94 SC1 5speed before) and have never really had any major problems with these cars. The only complaint for my Ion is that it looks like a 4x4 with the small wheels and stupid wheel gap.
