Well I am glad I didn't say something like that guy es un pendejo, o payaso. (2 years of Duolingo)

I too am an independent mobile mechanic, no more schedule or boss for me.
And while I'll work an auto for friends and family, I'd rather make a little more with aircraft and air conditioning, avionics... many times cleaner work

This Saturn Ion was mom's car and now under my daughters custody it now beaten and abused like a belligerent burrow. Every few years it need some intensive care. (gratis)
The ole Ram-A-Van is very much abused. I've hauled and pushed some weight with it. Along with it being loaded down with tools and equipment.
Next all you can carry day at the bone yard, I'll be grabbing a transmission for it to rebuild so I can have a back up. I know the time is coming. It is a dodge transmission after all!

That's funny! As you see, we all talk a lot of smack around here. One big disfunctional family.

I stress every few weeks over lack of work. But then I remember, it comes with being in business. And I definitely can't go back to working for someone else. Do what I want, when I want. Turn down the jobs I don't want to do. Its absolutely wonderful.

Next 2-3 weeks I'll be buying some blasting equipment and powder coating equipment to start learning how to do all that. Add to my arsenal.

Also working on getting into more performance goodies and resto projects.

Have a customer that has a hellcat, were talking about doing some bolt ons to. Had a TDI bug dropped off tonight that I'm doing a bigger turbo on. Also bringing a 69 Continental back to life.

Slowly getting there.

My neighbor had a 60s Continental. I bought him all the manuals I could find online. I'll look and see what year it is.

We bought the manual the day he took delivery. Neither one of us know how to use a carburetor 😂

Absolutely....

But it gives me the chance to see the grandaughter.
I will either be a hero or a zero in her eyes

So it has brown and slippery on the stick and I am going to change it, the brake fluid, the coolant
I am usually not a snake oiler but does anyone LOVE seafoam for an old abused and neglected engine? suggestions?

[I am now doing brake fluid flush every two years or so, as I feel it is cheap insurance for the new fangled ABS pack]
20/20
20 minutes and $20 dollars for two new quarts of fresh, dry, brake fluid

I actually prefer Marvel Mystery Oil as opposed to Seafoam. Add a quart of MMO and run it for 20-30 minutes. Drain it and change the oil and filter. Of course, you need to be a quart low in the crankcase before you add it. Same goes for the Seafoam, though. You can also add both to the fuel tank, if you prefer.

I'm an Amsoil guy. A hair biased because I'm a dealer. But every product I push, I've read the data and used myself prior.

THe engine flush is top notch. The fuel additives, especially the performance improver, I did personally see a lift in fuel economy. About 8/10ths mpg, but it adds up.

If anyone is interested, for personal or business, pm me. I'd love to be your servicing dealer.

We were involved with BG products as a revenue booster to the friends auto repair shop.

BG is awesome! If I had more shop business I would be involved with that as well. Used at many dealerships I worked at

So, Avatar?
How can I post a picture of my cats *** on every forum entry up by my name?
(it seems to not be an option or must be 'allowed' by the forum Gods)

Man, this forum platform is a little glitchy,
I just realized that somehow this post wasn't put on my introduction initial, but rather some old i dunno from i dunno when 'related thread'
