Default New from Oklahoma

I have a 2000 SL2 that we got from my wife's mother. Pretty good deal being free, but it does need work. Very drivable every day for 40+ miles. I'll be posting some questions soon but will search around for answers first.

One question about the forum. Is there any way to turn off the blue words in a thread that result in pop up ads?

Thanks,

Kent

Welcome to the forum!

I'm not sure. I haven't had that issue here. When I get back on my computer (on my phone now) ill check to see if there's a setting.

that only happens when you browse the forum without being signed in. Otherwise, good luck. Just search while logged in.

I was logged in and still got them, but I just clicked the little link in the ad for AdChoices, and elected to Opt Out. Blue links are now gone!!

well then--I'll have to try that---if it ever happens when I'm logged in...

DAMN! -- within 10 minutes it started while I was signed in. I blame you and you alone.

But, as you said, if you click on the word Adchoices, it takes you to a page where you can opt out. Select "Opt out from all companies" at the bottom.
You have to have "third party cookies accepted" in your browser and not have cookies erased when you close the browser, as it stores a cookie in your browser to store your opted out status.

Nice job. You just unfrustrated 200+ people (potentially) on this forum, myself included. Took care of the same issue on some other forums I frequent.

Oh and welcome by the way, KZ
