Just put down payment on a 1998 SL1. In nice shape, has new head, gaskets, valve cover, battery, belts, tires. Small exhaust leak, sounds like it needs a donut at the header. Runs great, real strong, straight, got plenty of pep, I was surprised. Took it on the highway was doing about 85 didnt shake or shimmy at all. Tranny is smooth. It''s got little things like window crank **** comes off in hand, radio **** is replaced by on from another brand car, a ding in the hood just above the headlight.


I''m really surprised by this car and the way it runs for the year and the price. It has 139k on it and I''m paying $2400. It will be transportation from a to b for work. I drive 200 miles round trip each day.


Does anyone know before I make this deal final if there is anything I should be looking out for? I know Saturns have trouble with the heads, alternators, batteries, those have all been replaced anything else?


Also is there a sight that sells aftermarket parts or things like window cranks and radio *****?
