Hi, I am pretty new at car forums. Never really been on one before. Me and my wife own a 2002 SL2 third gen. It was bought for her as her first car from her dad. I'm slowly building it up into somethimg nice and wanted to bring y'all along for the ride plus get advice from time to time and meet like minded folks. Ty

 

Welcome. Please tell us more about your car and what you are doing with "building it up"? Was it not running? Or just not running as well as it could be? Or are you doing cosmetic improvements? How many miles? etc.... Thanks

Well right now the car is about as stock as it gets minus a new set of hub caps and fog lights. But, as money allows me to i plan on rebuilding her. She's still a daily driver but has a few mechanical issues. Just fix the valve cover gasket, plugs, wires, and coils. Next is the CV's and Front Hubs then on to the exhaust. Probably more then that to follow. As far as cosmetics go, im gonna get it bondo'ed and primered and painted black with new rims and gonna lose all the badging on it. Planning on converting all the lights to LED both front and back as well as making a custom LED light set on the truck where the center piece is. Inside gonna go with Multi-Color LED stripes from Type S so that i can change the colors. Also to gonna change the Head Unit out and the Factory Speakers. Not sure on brand yet.

For having over 220k on it and being a 2002 its not been a bad car. Hoping that i will be allowed to share pics as i progress along.
