New guy saying hi

Hi All,

Guess why I'm here? Just got my commuter car back on line, '00 Saturn SL2, and now I'm officially a Saturn wrencher. Learning curve discovered the hard way. I'm soon to retire from my day job, and have been building turn key VWs for years, and will be doing Saturns also to supplement my other endeavors.

Long time motor head, air cooled VDubs, Volvo 140 series, Sunbeam Tigers, AMXs are my passions, also flying machines.

On my shop floor, shelves, on dollies or stands:
'99A DOHC Saturn less than 30K (looking for a wagon grocery-go-getter for my sons family)
260, 289 short block, K code 289 HP (just moved a 351W) Fords...restoring a '66 RHD Tiger to stock
3-1600 T1 VW long blocks (gave a 1600 DP as a wedding gift to the couple who's ceremony I performed)
2-T4 VWs complete, a 1700 and a 2 liter (looking for the right '72 Westy)
1776 stroker short block...will eventually go in my '71 bug (just did a tranny in it)
Crate 215 Olds & 2 speed (new ZERO hours barn find been sitting in an MGB) destined for a '71 Volvo 142S
390 '70 AMC waiting for the right project AMX

I came to learn, to see what works with what, I've resisted the transformation from points to PCU as long as I could.

welcome to the forum.

You'll get along w Uncljohn, an old fart with many completed project cars under his belt. He's away fr the forum at the moment, but the minute he sees AMX I'm sure you two will bond.

We are about active posting. We're not stuffy/formal/PC in any way shape or form. We routinely take playful shots at each other, and it gets dished right back.

So feel free to express yourself---respectfully.

Welcome to the forum, PAX. For a newbie, you sure as hell have a lot of questions. And I can't answer a frigging one of them. I'm the forum idiot.
