From New England
My wife bought a 1994 SL2 in 1999 and we still have it. Various internet searches have brought me here in the past when I'm trying to solve problems with the Saturn. The odometer stopped at 209K last fall. Thanks to this site, I learned about Odometer Gears in Virginia and my parts are arriving tomorrow. Electric cooling fan failed last week and the wiper control module is shot. Those parts are arriving soon so I hope to have it back on the road next week.
I've been working on cars all of my life and the SL2 is a great, simple car that doesn't give us too much trouble and I really like the fact that it doesn't rust since most body panels are plastic. Most of my past cars have been GM with some Jaguars and a BMW 7 Series thrown in as well.
Finally decided to join the site.
Would like to find a nice Sky sometime in the near future.

Here's a nice looking Sky in Orlando, if you're so inclined.

I found one near me for about 8K. '07 Redline with 78,000 miles.
The price of this one is certainly much more appealing. Car transporter cost would probably be less than $600.00 from FLA to where I live.
Thanks again for the tip.

No. The timing chain on the original engine went at 120K. My wife found a guy to put in a 40K used engine in 2004 for $1,300.00 out the door. At this point, the engine has probably 160K and the oil consumption is gradually getting worse, 1 quart about every 1000 miles.
Just got done fixing the odometer today along with the windshield wiper motor (module was bad, wipers would come on when they felt like it for no reason) and the cooling fan. Again, thanks to some information I found on this site, if A/C is working and on, then cooling fan should be on. Well, it wasn't. Found a new fan on eBay and only took about an hour to install it.
Recently replaced front wheel bearings and the motor mounts. Found a deal on those parts on eBay. Prior to replacing those, the car was horribly noisy, loud and just plain miserable to drive.
As of today, it's never run better.

You are welcome. And even if you purchase it, I won't ask for any commission!
