Introduction
I'm new to the site and also new to any type of forum. Probably because I'm not very quick or good on computers. I go by pavehawk because that is what I am currently performing functional check flights and maintenance test flights on; USAF version of a blackhawk helicopter. I own a 2001 Saturn SL2 and am the original owner. My wife and I bought it in 2000 for my daughter for her to use at college. It's now back with me as my daughter says it doesn't have enough engine. I use it for work; it gets great gas milage as oppose to my F150. I look forward to learning through the forum about the saturns as they seem to be easy to work on, but, have some interesting electrical systems.

Welcome Pavehawk! I've driven through Valdosta many-a-times on the way to the Florida folks. There's a gaggle of people in here that have some great knowledge in Saturns. Odds are we'll lead you to the answers to your questions!

Indeed, Sattys contain some interesting circuitry arrangements.......
S cars were simple to diagnose and fix with out the BCMs of the 3rd gens. They're still easy to work on, just sometimes a pain in the butt if it's an electrical issue with the BCM in play
If you want BCM nightmares, go buy an L Series. They don't all fail, but each leaves this world in a different and unique way.

It's mostly a black church, but my father-in-law started it over 50 years ago. My wife was raised in that church and often laughs at being one of the few marshmellows in the chocolate milk. They certainly have a good time and preach the word. Doesn't matter how you dress or what you drive either. Too much of that hypocrisy at all of the big, fancy churches!
