Welcome. That is some flavor of L series.
I hate when the caliper pins weren't greased properly by the previous owner, the conflagration of your pads being the outcome. Stay safe/keep an extinguisher handy |
Welcome aboard.

Welcome! Another L! Fuel leaks or fuel smell near the right rear wheel are a common problem on these cars. The 2001-2005 models have plastic fuel line connections at the pump, the return line is what I have found cracked and leaking on several of these cars. It requires replacing the fuel pump to repair this.
A power steering leak is less common with this car. I have owned 10 of these and I have only had a power steering leak on one of the four cylinder cars. It was the pump and it was leaking fluid into the engine with none on the ground. The four cylinder cars have the power steering pump mounted directly to the cylinder head and driven by the intake cam. The v-6 cars have a conventional belt driven pump, driven by the serpentine belt. |
Welcome! Lots of great people here tat will help you out!
