I am a Saturn Vue owner and I am new here
Aha! You just gave me a new starting point. The previous owner( daughter), had a stereo indtalled,(by who i have no idea) regardless, it lights up but does not work. I am going to open that up and see what's going on back behind it. I think you may have led me to what I've been looking for. I didnt really think that the stereo could have anything to do with the lights. But as there is no damage to the vehicle anywhere and that stereo being the only y change to the entire vehicle, I would have to say, by deduction, that is where my problem lies. Thank you and I will keep you all posted. Thanks.
Alright, well that was a bummer. Its not anything that i can figure out behind the stereo. So, the search continues. I'm sort of leaning towards the headlight switch bring the culprit. Has anyone ever said that they hate car wiring? I enjoy working on cars, except for the wiring. I guess only when the wiring is messed up. If everything's working as it should, I'm fine with it. But once something is not working, I just automatically get a bit angry. And I'm not the kind of guy that takes his cars to a mechanic, so I'll be at this until it's solved. Unfortunately. Thanks for everyone's help so far. If anyone else has any ideas, I'm all ears. Or eyes, as it is.
I will try to look at this Fri Sat Sun. After printing them out.
The thing about the switch is that that when you rotate it away from off, the parking lights come on. Or should. If the park fuse blows, then when you switch it to headlight position, the fuse protecting that switch is already blown so there should be no current thu the switch to signal the BCM to close the headlight circuit.
But there is....maybe?
This is why I need to print this out and figure out how the parking and headlight function together.
