Hello Saturn Forum!
I own a 1998 Saturn SL2. I bought it about 2 years ago from a mechanic friend of my dads. Bought it for $1200, and figured I'd drive it for maybe a year or so and then get a new car. It had about 190k miles on it. The guy told me it was a good car, but not to run it like it was new. I drove it from Kansas City to Denver 2 weeks later, lol.
Its now been 2 years, and another 50k+ miles and shes still running strong. Up til now I have only had to put new tires on it. The past few months have brought me to needing a few minor repairs. I had been leaking coolant for awhile and running hot. Last week I did a radiator flush, changed the water pump, thermostat and coolant sensor. Seems to be running much better now on that end. This weekend will bring a crankshaft sensor changeout and a transmission fluid/filter change. Also a 4 tire alignment in the next few weeks. All in all I really love this car. I do sales for a living, and get paid .56 cents per mile, so to have great gas mileage is a plus for me. Getting about 32 mpg, and this with a bad crankshaft sensor which causes some bogging issues.(Hoping thats the case anyway) I will post some pics later this evening when I get home. Anywho, thats a bit about me and my car. |
