Default Hello! New owner

Hi. I have a 2004 Ion and my father in-law has a 2002 Vue. Both cars are new to me as I'm from the UK and only moved here in January. However, in that time both cars have proved to be.....challenging.

The Ion is technically still my father in-law's, he's letting us use it until we buy our own. The Ion has had new trailing arm bushings and needs control arm bushings too. The Vue is a different bag of issues altogether.

1. P0431 code that just won't gp
2. Broken horn button
3. Lag of about 2 seconds in the transmission when pulling away or reversing
4. Heater control switch, which works intermittently

Anyway, enough complaining!

So, I notice you're the first one here that also has an Alfa Romeo... Is it as fun as they sound, or is it just another car? I've heard great things about the 156...

The V6 2.5 six speed is a joy to drive when it works. But as with many Italian cars reliability is an issue. I didn't bring that with me as shipping would've been more than the car's worth. My daughter is now getting the most from it.

Wow, even in the late nineties Italian cars have reliability issues... I figured by the computer age, most of that would've been solved... Ever since I played Gran Turismo, I sorta wanted a 155, but they aren't available here, and it's not worth importing one, especially with the reliability issues apparently common to Alfas...
