Default Hello all

New member, and new to Saturns in general. Long story short, I was in desperate need of a car and was hoping to buy a Honda or Toyota. I came across a 2000 SL1 for what seemed to be a good price, and after some reluctantcy, purchased. It seems that Saturns can be reliable IF maintenace is performed consistently, especially oil checks and changes as Saturns burn oil. This seems to be critical for the timing chain, which was the main complaint I kept finding amongst Saturn owners. That said, I also found many owners who took care of their cars like clockwork and are at or past 200k miles. My main purpose for joining this site is to keep up on maitenance issues and upgrade options etc...

Welcome to the Saturn Forum.....

Tell ya what, I have had 10 twin cam Saturn S-Cars and not a one burnt a drop of oil. Because they were never allowed to overheat. Oh and the Mobil-1 was changed every 5k.
