Heavy smoking exhaust

2001 saturn l200 exhaust smoking horribly. Anyway to inexpensively alleviate some of the oil burn off... any advice?

Synthetic engine oil smokes less, but you need to correct the oil burning really.

a thicker oil or honey oil?

No, synthetic only smokes less. It will still burn oil until you repair the engine.

where's the easiest cheapest place to start?

Rings and valve seals is where most oil gets that it is not supposed to. If you don’t have much money to spend I recommend a different car. It is a major undertaking to repair a tired engine.

well I plan to run it till it's dead, making small repairs as I can , I guess I don't see getting money for selling it. I can't figure out the ac problem, it burns up compressors, have had 3 done now. And the catalytic converter plugged so it was cored out.

I think it is waving the white flag as we type.

Small repairs and oil burning do not belong in the same sentence.
I answered your other AC thread. If you've killed 3 compressors the compressor is probably not the root cause, only the final outcome

Let it go and move on (my advice)
