Darryl says Hi! (2000 SL1)
New to forum.
After several years of taking my Saturn to be serviced... I have started to do some of the stuff I think I can handle by myself. So, I'm kinda new to some of this stuff. I do remember helping my Dad when I was younger, so I hope I have retained most of what I've learned from him. Darryl |
Hi there Darryl .........
Welcome to the Forum |
Thanks.
Are there any repair manuals specific to my year & model? I have one of the Chilton manuals (but its more generalized). Darryl |
Best option would be to watch either eBAY or craig's list for a dealership manual to pop up for bid

Thanks. I'll check out eBay for this.
Also, how do you add an avatar? I've got a picture of my wife I'd like to use as my avatar. Darryl |
Hey Darryl,
I hope you enjoy DIY on your Saturn. I do and recommend it. |

Hello Darryl,
I just bought an S series shop manual on ebay for 14.95. Maybe better deals, I dunno 'cause I saw 'Buy It Now' and I did ! As I clicked the BIN icon I did notice there are 'manuals on CD' for less but I want something I can hold and refer to while under the car. I'm hoping I can find something in it that will send me in the right direction as to the source of my cars odd noise(s). I see that a few people have read my thread but no responses. I'm getting the sinking feeling, by the lack of responses, that what I'm hearing isn't something others have heard before. Ugh. Is it the Haynes manual? That's all I see on eBay. I prefer the Chilton manual. Darryl |
No .... you'd be looking for the GM/Saturn service manuals.
