Coming from Saturnfans.com

Hello,

Long-time saturnfans.com member since 2008, Although quite disappointed that it seems to have shuttered (maybe not?), I’m glad this forum exists and is active.

I purchased my 2008 AURA XR (Ocean Mist w. black leather) August, 2008. I traded it and my 2009 Sky Redline in toward a 2011 Camaro convertible in 2011. My AURA only had 12k miles on her. I loved my AURA so darned much that within a week, I offered to buy her back for $500 more than the large-volume Chevy dealer gave me for it because they knew they had a gem. I then started looking for another low mileage AURA XR by bookmarking every dealer within 500 miles as well as online car sites to try to find another great AURA XR. I did find a few but they either weren’t the Ocean Mist color I wanted or they weren’t fully loaded. Then, exactly 50 weeks later, an AURA XR shows up on the same Chevy dealer’s website that I traded my AURA in to.

At first glance of the description, it wasn’t the right color and didn’t list any accessories but it did have low mileage. I then took a look at the Carfax report and, looking at the VIN, it was my AURA XR that I traded in 50 weeks earlier, and with only 5.7k miles added to the odometer! The previous owner still had all of the goodies that I kept with the AURA when I traded her such as the OEM carpeted and all-weather AURA floor mats, OEM AURA carpeted trunk mat, cargo nets, owners manual, original window sticker (Monroney Label), key FOBS, everything was there. Naturally, I brought her back home and she’s been with me, ever since and, as of today, she only has 60.6k miles on the odometer. BTW, she’s ALWAYS been dealer maintained.

Financially punitive? Yes. Emotionally rewarding? Definitely!

Really glad to have found and become a member of another Saturn (AURA) forum!

Thank you! Glad to have found a functioning Saturn forum!

I don’t post very often but am able to provide a few OEM Saturn AURA spec sheets (for customers, 1 to 2 pages each) for the 2008 and 2009 AURA as well as a couple of sheets that list all of the standard and add-on packages / accessories (with dealer / factory order codes / numbers) that I printed from Saturn’s website back in 2008 / 2009. Perhaps some here may find that useful? Is there a way to upload these?

Dude,
No double posting, please. I'm closing this thread. See directions for uploading in your post in the Aura section

Thanks
