I own a 97 SC2 and it has been starting up fine and then drives for a few minutes, when it seems to be warmed up the engine quits like it has run out of gas and then stalls ententually when I pull over. We replaced the fuel filter and still nothing. After it quits then has trouble starting again unless it sits for a few hours. I took it to a machanic and they cant find the problem. Does anyone have any suggestions. < => <!-- var SymRealOnLoad; var SymReal; Sym() { window.open = SymWinOpen; if(SymReal != null) SymReal(); } SymOnLoad() { if(SymRealOnLoad != null) SymRealOnLoad(); window.open = SymRealWinOpen; SymReal = window.; window. = Sym; } SymRealOnLoad = window.onload; window.onload = SymOnLoad; //--> </> |
Replace the crankshaft positoning sensor located on the back of the block, just above and to the right of the starter. I just had to do this on my 96 sc2. When they go bad, they shut a warm motor down with no warning, and leave no codes in the computer. Try this then tell your mechanic. MountinAsh. |
i also agree with the crank sensor, and if its not that, it is likely something with the ECU, in my experiences...
