I own a 97 SC2 and it has been starting up fine and then drives for a few minutes, when it seems to be warmed up the engine quits like it has run out of gas and then stalls ententually when I pull over. We replaced the fuel filter and still nothing. After it quits then has trouble starting again unless it sits for a few hours. I took it to a machanic and they cant find the problem. Does anyone have any suggestions.

Replace the crankshaft positoning sensor located on the back of the block, just above and to the right of the starter. I just had to do this on my 96 sc2. When they go bad, they shut a warm motor down with no warning, and leave no codes in the computer. Try this then tell your mechanic. MountinAsh.

i also agree with the crank sensor, and if its not that, it is likely something with the ECU, in my experiences...
