The motor makes noise as if the sunroof will open, but nothing happens.


Mechanic brother cannot figure out problem. Did have it fixed once, quite a while back, at a dealer. Am trying to avoid having to take it into one.

Well, it's not an electrical problem, because you can hear the motor trying to operate. I have been told that the sunroof motors fail pretty often on Saturn's. The motor may be bad even though it's making the noise like it's working.
