01 LW300 original owner (yep, and keepin' her!)

Hi, this is just a quick introduction to tell you a little bit about my experience with my car over many years. I bought it new off the Saturn lot and put it to work as a handyman's vehicle of all silly things.
it was a good thing at had a five-year warranty because I used it a lot in the first few years. Within about 12,000 miles I had to replace front tires because the bushings and ball joints and whatnot had come misaligned from the factory somehow, we repeated that at 35000 Miles, along with having to tear down the top of the engine after a o ring blew and caused oil to leak into the crankcase.
Received terrific Saturn Quality Service each and every time there was a mishap, and boy do I miss those days!
At just over 50k and fresh out of warranty had the fuel pump replaced, around 69000 miles the odometer quit, that was roughly 7 years ago so I can only guess at the actual miles but venture its around 150k or so.
I replaced the AC unit, brake pads and alternator last year along with a tuneup.
I like the ride, it's been a comfortable cruiser, gets decent enough gas mileage and paid for itself 10 years ago. Parts are still fairly easy to find, I have a great shop for major repairs and have been able handle the rest myself for the most part.
So, barring major issues, I'm hoping to keep her operating until I can get a deal on a clean, used Tesla (/s)

Welcome to the forum, Jasper. Nice story about your L series car. I had one for a brief period of time and really liked it. I didn't have any trouble out of it at all. Most L series owners have not been here with as many problems as you seem to have had.
