I'm installing underbody neon lights on my 96 sl2. everything is working except when i screw in the negative post to my battery in all the way my lights get no power, and then i noticed that if i un screw it a little bit then my lights work but i can't start my car. i cant figure out whats wrong, please help me.

it sounds like you are creating a short in the system somewhere..i would check over all of your new wiring to make sure everything is insulated properly.

my car is green and my lights are green. i'm kinda busy this weekend, so i probably wont get to it til next so check back then for some pics.
